KARACHI: In a tragic event, five police personnel were killed and three others injured when their vehicle overturned near Wandar Dubai Mosque in Hub.

The incident was caused by a tire burst, leading to a fatal crash. Authorities swiftly transported the injured to District Headquarters Hospital.

In another incident, three police personnel were injured in Sachal, Karachi, when assailants threw a hand grenade at their vehicle. Fortunately, no fatalities were reported.

Earlier, unidentified individuals targeted SSP Naseerabad Hussain Lehri’s convoy with a hand grenade in Dera Murad Jamali, though no injuries occurred.

Police, along with CTD and bomb disposal units, secured the area promptly following both incidents.
