PESHAWAR: Chief Minister (CM) of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ali Amin Gandapur, recently made a pointed remark directed at Governor Faisal Karim Kundi, advising him to adhere to certain boundaries.

Gandapur stated, “If Faisal Karim Kundi exceeds his limits, he will find himself ousted onto the streets.” Furthermore, Gandapur emphasized that he no longer considers Faisal Karim Kundi a relative, asserting, “I do not consider any dishonest individual as a relative or friend.”

In addition, the CM cautioned that if Kundi persists in criticizing him, he will cease providing him with petrol, food, and other privileges. Gandapur also suggested that Kundi should consult his chairman, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, regarding his admission to Oxford University.

The ongoing exchange of verbal sparring intensified between CM Ali Amin Gandapur and the newly-appointed Governor Faisal Karim Kundi. Gandapur even went so far as to threaten to cut off Kundi’s grant.

The disagreement seemingly originated when CM Ali Amin Gandapur, during a public address, warned of occupying the governor’s residence if governor’s rule were to be imposed in the province.

Gandapur boldly stated that he wasn’t fearful of governor’s rule in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and that if it were imposed, the people would take control of both the Governor’s House and CM House, as only the rule of the people is acceptable in the province.

Responding to Gandapur’s remarks, Faisal Karim Kundi asserted his capability to safeguard the Governor’s House against any potential attack by Gandapur. Kundi warned, “If you attempt to seize the Governor’s House, feel free to try, but be prepared to face the consequences.”

He claimed to possess the experience necessary to deal with political agitators.
