Karachi Zoo, also known as Karachi Zoological Gardens, is a favorite spot for families in Karachi. Spanning 33 acres, it is one of Pakistan’s largest and oldest zoos, built six years after Lahore Zoo.

The zoo houses over 800 animals, including 80 species of mammals, 460 birds, and over 200 reptiles. Visitors can see lions, Bengal tigers, jackals, Arabian oryx, deer, giraffes, zebras, elephants, and baboons.

Karachi Zoo Timings

The zoo is open daily from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM. However, Wednesdays are reserved for women and children only.

The entrance fee is very affordable, at just Rs 30 per person.
