Karachi weather update: Rain to continue for 5 days under new monsoon system

KARACHI: The city of Quaid is expected to experience partly cloudy weather with potential thundershowers today.

The specialized meteorological forecast indicates that Karachi will endure a hot and humid climate for the duration of the day. However, thundershowers accompanied by light precipitation are anticipated from the evening into the night.

Furthermore, the temperature has been recorded at 31 degrees Celsius, with certain areas of the city reaching maximum temperatures ranging from 35 to 39 degrees Celsius.

Currently, Karachi is witnessing a peak temperature of 39 degrees Celsius with a humidity level of 75%. A southwestern breeze is prevailing at a speed of 8 kilometers per hour.

Conversely, various regions across the country are expected to maintain a hot and arid weather pattern today, although sporadic rainfall is predicted in select locations.

The capital city of Islamabad and its adjoining areas are forecasted to sustain a hot and dry atmosphere, with today’s minimum temperature at 22 degrees Celsius and the maximum reaching 40 degrees Celsius.

In the majority of districts within Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the weather is likely to remain hot and dry. Nonetheless, Chitral, Swat, Deer Balakot, Mansehra, Kohistan, and Waziristan may experience rain showers along with thunderstorms.

In Punjab, most districts will also face hot and dry conditions, but areas such as Meri, Galiat, and their vicinities may encounter brief periods of rain and thunderstorms in the afternoon.

According to coastal meteorological reports, the districts of Sindh will predominantly experience hot and dry weather, while the coastal areas will be both hot and humid. Nevertheless, the coastal belt could receive light rainfall and drizzle.

Subsequently, isolated clouds are forecasted in Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, where a few places might witness high winds and thunderstorms.
