The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) issues the National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP), a crucial document for Pakistanis residing abroad.

NADRA is responsible for managing, recording, and issuing NICOPs to Pakistani expatriates living in various countries, including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and others.

Overseas Pakistanis can obtain an NICOP through a straightforward process, facilitating visa-free travel to Pakistan for dual nationals.

In the UAE, Pakistani residents can apply for the new Smart NICOP by visiting the NADRA center at the Pakistan embassy. Additionally, individuals in the UAE can utilize the Pak Identity app to conveniently renew their NICOP online, eliminating the need to visit a physical center.

NADRA has implemented different fee structures for Smart NICOPs based on regions, with the UAE falling under Zone B.
