Rain-wind/thunderstorms are expected in Lahore and various parts of Punjab on Thursday night, Friday, and Saturday.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), moist currents from the Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal are penetrating most parts of Pakistan, and a westerly wave is affecting the upper regions of the country.

Under these weather conditions, rain-wind/thunderstorms are anticipated in Murree, Galyat, Rawalpindi, Jhelum, Attock, Chakwal, Talagang, Lahore, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Narowal, Wazirabad, Hafizabad, Sargodha, Mianwali, Khushab, Gujrat, and Mandi Bahauddin on Thursday night.

On Friday and Saturday, scattered rain-wind/thunderstorms are likely in Murree, Galyat, Rawalpindi, Jhelum, Attock, Chakwal, Talagang, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Narowal, Sialkot, Wazirabad, and Mandi Bahauddin, with isolated incidents expected in Mianwali, Bhakkar, Layyah, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Toba Tek Singh, Khushab, Hafizabad, Lahore, Dera Ghazi Khan, Multan, Sahiwal, Bahawalnagar, and Bahawalpur.

Lahore’s maximum temperature is forecasted to be between 42-44°C on Friday and 41-43°C on Saturday.

In the past 24 hours, scattered rain-wind/thunderstorms have occurred in various parts of the province.

Attock remained the hottest place in the province where the maximum temperature was recorded at 45°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 32 per cent.

In Lahore, maximum temperature was recorded at 36°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 52 per cent.
