Rain predicted in Peshawar, parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Rain-wind/thunderstorms are anticipated in Peshawar and various regions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Thursday and Friday.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), continental air is currently prevailing over most parts of Pakistan, with a shallow westerly expected to enter the upper parts of the country on Thursday.

Given these weather conditions, rain-wind/thunderstorms are expected at isolated locations in Dir, Swat, Malakand, Bajaur, Kohistan, Chitral, Shangla, Battagram, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Haripur, Buner, Peshawar, Mardan, Swabi, Nowshera, Charsadda, Kohat, Hangu, Karak, Bannu, Mohmand, Khyber, Orakzai, Kurram, and Waziristan on Thursday and Friday.

In Peshawar, maximum temperatures are forecasted to range between 40-42°C on Thursday and 39-41°C on Friday.

Over the last 24 hours, Peshawar and most districts of the province experienced hot and dry conditions. Bannu recorded the highest temperature in the province at 46°C, with evening relative humidity at 20 percent.

In Peshawar, the maximum temperature reached 42°C, and relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 32 percent.
