Rains, gusty winds predicted in Lahore, Punjab

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), Lahore and parts of Punjab are expected to experience additional rainfall and gusty winds on Sunday evening/night and Monday.

Weak moist currents from the Arabian Sea are currently affecting the upper regions of Pakistan and are expected to strengthen by Monday evening/night. Additionally, a westerly wave is anticipated to approach the upper parts of the country during this period.

Under these weather conditions, more rain and gusty winds are predicted in isolated areas including Murree, Galyat, Rawalpindi, Jhelum, Chakwal, Talagang, Attock, Mianwali, Khushab, Sargodha, Mandi Bahauddin, Hafizabad, Sheikhupura, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Lahore, Narowal, and Sialkot on Sunday evening/night and Monday. The rest of the province is likely to experience hot and humid weather.

In Lahore, maximum temperatures are expected to range between 39-41°C on Monday and 40-42°C on Tuesday.

Over the past 24 hours, Lahore and isolated parts of Punjab experienced rain, wind, and thunderstorms, while hot and humid conditions prevailed in other areas of the province.

Bhakkar remained the hottest place in the province where the maximum temperature was recorded at 45°C. Maximum temperature in Sahiwal was recorded at 43°C.

In Lahore, maximum temperature was recorded at 37°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 53 percent.
