More rain-wind/thunderstorms are forecasted for Lahore and various parts of Punjab on Thursday evening/night, as well as on Friday and Saturday.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), moist currents from the Arabian Sea are moving into southern and central parts of Pakistan, and a shallow westerly wave is expected to impact the southern and upper regions within the next 12-24 hours.

Under these conditions, rain-wind/thunderstorms are anticipated in isolated areas including Murree, Galyat, Multan, Khanewal, Sahiwal, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Sialkot, Narowal, Hafizabad, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Kasur, Okara, Mandi Bahauddin, Jhang, Layyah, Bhakkar, Dera Ghazi Khan, Rajanpur, Tunsa, Rahimyar Khan, Bahawalnagar, and Bahawalpur on Thursday evening/night.

On Friday and Saturday, isolated rain-wind/thunderstorms are likely in Murree, Galyat, Attock, Rawalpindi, Chakwal, Jhelum, Mianwali, Bhakkar, Multan, Khanewal, Dera Ghazi Khan, Rajanpur, Tunsa, Rahimyar Khan, Bahawalnagar, and Bahawalpur.

Lahore’s maximum temperature is expected to be between 42-44°C on Friday and 41-43°C on Saturday. In the past 24 hours, hot and dry weather prevailed in most districts of the province, although rain-wind/thunderstorms did occur in Lahore and at isolated locations throughout the province.

Noorpur Thal remained the hottest place in the province where the maximum temperature was recorded at 48°C. Maximum temperature in Bhakkar and Sargodha was recorded at 47°C.

In Lahore, maximum temperature was recorded at 44°C. Relative humidity during the morning was recorded at 47 percent.
