DSP CTD Ali Raza gunned down in Karachi

KARACHI: Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD), Ali Raza was martyred in a gun attack near Karachi’s Karimabad area on Sunday.

Unknown assailants opened fire on DSP Raza, who was serving as the DSP CTD Investigation, resulting in serious injuries. He was taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

Following the incident, the Sindh Home Minister requested a report from the Deputy Inspector-General (DIG) CTD and the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Central.

The Minister also ordered immediate action to apprehend those responsible for the attack.

Shaheed DSP Ali Raza was a close associate of former SSP Shaheed Chaudhry Aslam. He was also in charge of CTD cell several times.

He was also posted as SHOs in different police stations during the Karachi operation.
