‘Sindh to distribute 200,000 solar systems by July 2025’
The Punjab government has introduced the ‘Roshan Gharana’ program, which provides solar panels on easy installments to electricity consumers across the province who use up to 500 units.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has scheduled a Punjab cabinet meeting for tomorrow to formally approve the ‘Roshan Gharana’ program.
Households consuming up to 500 units of electricity will be eligible for solar panels, with the government covering 90% of the cost and consumers paying the remaining 10%. The solar panels will be available on easy installments over five years, with reduced payments during the winter months.
