In Lahore, the federal school authorities have announced revised timings for schools following the conclusion of summer vacations in 2024. Starting August 5, schools will operate from 7:30 am to 1:30 pm on weekdays.

According to a recent update from the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE), new school hours will be implemented. For single-shift schools in Islamabad, classes will run from 7:30 am to 1:30 pm Monday through Thursday, and from 7:30 am to 12:30 pm on Fridays. In evening shifts, schools will operate from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm Monday through Thursday, with an adjusted schedule from 2:30 pm to 7:00 pm on Fridays.

It’s worth noting that summer vacations for Islamabad schools were extended until August 4 due to the extreme heat. Other regions, such as Sindh and Balochistan, also experienced extended summer breaks because of the persistently hot and humid weather conditions.
