Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman, the leader of Jamaat-e-Islami, has called for a protest in Islamabad on July 26 to voice opposition to rising inflation and high electricity bill taxes.

He stated that Jamaat-e-Islami is staging nationwide protests today, with sit-ins planned in cities large and small. A major demonstration is scheduled in Islamabad on July 26 to protest against the hefty taxes on electricity rates, and participants will not disperse until their demands are met.

The head of Jamaat-e-Islami extends an invitation to the public to join the peaceful protest in Islamabad on July 26, as part of the “Haq du Awam Ko” campaign against policies detrimental to the populace. He expressed his commitment to participating as well.

According to Hafiz Naeem, the movement opposes the government’s budget, which he claims is unfavorable to the citizens. He criticized the increase in electricity bills, allegedly under IMF directives, and called on the government to alleviate the burden of high electricity bills and the oppressive tiered pricing system.

He also welcomed the Supreme Court’s ruling on certain electoral seats. Following the court’s decision, he argued that the Election Commission lacks moral authority and called for the immediate resignation of the Chief Election Commissioner.

Lastly, Hafiz Naeemur Rehman urged the Supreme Court to establish a judicial commission to adjudicate each electoral seat based on Form 45. He emphasized that parties alleging election fraud should focus on specific seats and that the Supreme Court’s decisions should be fully embraced, not accepted selectively.
