ISLAMABAD: Sri Lankan High Commissioner to Pakistan Ravindra Chandrasiri Wijegunaratne called on Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi in Islamabad and discussed matters of mutual interest including release of Pakistani nationals imprisoned in Sri Lanka.

It was decided to bring these prisoners stuck in Sri Lanka for the past several years back to Pakistan in a week time.

The two sides agreed to quickly complete the necessary steps for the repatriation of Pakistani prisoners.

The Sri Lankan High Commissioner assured all possible support for the release of Pakistani prisoners. He said his country attaches importance to its relations with Pakistan.
