Following two consecutive crude oil shocks, the government is expected to provide relief to inflation-stricken citizens from August 1, 2024, for the next fortnight.

According to reports, the price of petrol may decrease by Rs. 5.50 per liter, while high-speed diesel (HSD) might see a reduction of Rs. 11.06 per liter.

Additionally, the prices of kerosene oil and light diesel oil (LDO) are projected to decrease by Rs. 5.84 and Rs. 5.07 per liter, respectively.

New Petrol Price

If this occurs, the new price of petrol will be Rs. 270.10 per liter, down from the current price of Rs. 275.60 per liter. The price of high-speed diesel (HSD) would be Rs. 272.57 per liter, compared to the existing rate of Rs. 283.63 per liter.

Similarly, the new price of kerosene oil would be Rs. 177.87 per liter, compared to the current price of Rs. 183.71 per liter. Additionally, the price of kerosene oil would be Rs. 161 per liter, as opposed to the current price of Rs. 166.25 per liter.
