Monsoon rain, wind, and thunderstorms are expected in Lahore and some isolated areas in Punjab on Sunday night and Monday.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), weak monsoon currents from the Arabian Sea are influencing the upper and central parts of Pakistan, along with a westerly wave impacting the upper regions.

Under these conditions, monsoon rain, wind, and thunderstorms are likely at isolated locations including Murree, Galyat, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Talagang, Jhelum, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Wazirabad, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Sialkot, Narowal, Bahawalpur, Dera Ghazi Khan, Bahawalnagar, and Rahim Yar Khan on Sunday night and Monday. Hot and humid weather is expected elsewhere in the province.

Lahore’s maximum temperature is predicted to range between 37-39°C on Monday and Tuesday.

In the past 24 hours, hot and humid weather prevailed in Lahore and most districts of the province, with isolated rains occurring in the southern districts.

Rawalpindi’s maximum temperature is expected to range between 35-37°C on Monday and Tuesday.

Meanwhile, rain, wind, and thundershowers occurred at isolated places in south Punjab, northeast Balochistan, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan during the last 24 hours. Hot and humid weather prevailed elsewhere in the country.

Kashmir: Muzaffarabad (Airport 08, City 05), Rawalkot 04

Gilgit-Baltistan: Bagrote 05, Gupis 02, Astore, Bunji 01

Turbat and Dadu remained the hottest places in the country where the maximum temperature was recorded at 44°C. Maximum temperature in Jacobabad and Dalbandin was recorded at 43°C.
