Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif also highlighted a new initiative led by his daughter, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, called the “Roshan Gharana” program. This program will provide free solar panels to households using up to 200 units and subsidized panels for those using up to 500 units. The government will cover 90% of the cost, with consumers only responsible for 10%, which they can repay through an interest-free five-year loan.
Nawaz Sharif also urged Prime Minister Shehbaz to support the promotion of solar panels and suggested that other provinces implement similar programs to benefit their residents.
