Summer vacations in schools across Punjab, including Lahore, are set to end next week, with the government announcing new school timings starting August 15, 2024.

The Punjab School Education Department has released a schedule for the updated school hours, effective once classes resume after the summer break.

According to the notification, schools operating in the morning shift will run from 8:00 am to 1:30 pm from Monday to Thursday, while classes on Fridays will conclude at 12:00 pm.

For schools with double shifts and afternoon shifts, the morning session will be held from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm, the afternoon session from 1:00 pm to 5:30 pm, and the evening shift on Fridays will be from 2:00 pm to 5:30 pm.

The notice also stated that teachers in regular schools will work from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm on weekdays and from 8:00 am to 12:30 pm on Fridays.

In schools with double shifts, teachers’ schedules will be from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm for the morning shift and from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm for the evening shift on weekdays.
