Pillion riding banned across Sindh on occasion of Chehlum of Imam Hussain (RA)

KARACHI: The Sindh government announced on Friday a province-wide ban on pillion riding for the Chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA). As per a notification from the Home Department, the ban aims to maintain peace and order during the observance, scheduled for Monday, 26th August.

Exceptions to the ban include women, children under 12, senior citizens, differently-abled individuals, journalists, law enforcement personnel, private security staff in uniform, and essential services employees.

The Home Department stated that the ban was implemented based on the recommendation of the Sindh Inspector General of Police. Citizens are urged to cooperate with law enforcement agencies to ensure a peaceful Chehlum.
