LAHORE: A case has been registered against Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister (CM) Ali Amin Gandapur and 250 to 300 others, including Shahid Khattak, at the Manawan Police Station in Lahore on Monday.

The charges, which include terrorism, attempted murder, and other serious crimes, were brought forward following a complaint from SHO Hudiara Hamas Hameed.

According to the FIR, Lahore Police were stationed on the Sialkot-Lahore Motorway when the group, allegedly led by Gandapur, attacked them. The group, reportedly armed, broke toll plaza windows, damaged barriers, and destroyed CCTV cameras, causing panic and chaos among the public.

Earlier, CM Gandapur said he would not apologize to anyone, demanding instead that the government issue him an apology. In a video message following a Lahore rally, he declared that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) would not be intimidated. He questioned why he should apologize, insisting he had done nothing wrong, and dismissed the legal actions against him.

Gandapur also criticized the ruling parties for what he called “unconstitutional activities” and emphasized that the people support democracy, the constitution, and PTI leader Imran Khan, who has been imprisoned for 414 days. He condemned Khan’s removal from power and vowed to continue fighting for justice. Gandapur further announced a nationwide protest on Friday, calling for peaceful demonstrations in cities and villages to demand judicial independence, constitutional protection, and Khan’s release.
