Isolated rains expected in Lahore, parts of Punjab

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast varying intensities of rain along with gusty winds in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and parts of Pakistan on Thursday and Friday, with occasional gaps between showers.

A low-pressure system is approaching southeast Sindh, while a weak westerly wave is affecting the upper regions of the country. As a result, rain is expected in scattered areas of southeastern Sindh and isolated areas of southeastern Balochistan, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, and nearby hilly regions on Wednesday night.

On Thursday and Friday, rain is predicted in the twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi, as well as in isolated locations in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, southeastern Sindh, Kashmir, and adjacent hilly areas.

The maximum temperature in Islamabad is expected to range between 33-35°C on Thursday and 31-33°C on Friday, while Rawalpindi’s maximum temperature is anticipated to be between 32-34°C on Thursday and 31-33°C on Friday.

Rainfall has already occurred in isolated areas of lower Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, southeastern Sindh, Kashmir, central and northeastern Punjab, southeastern Balochistan, and Gilgit-Baltistan.

In Islamabad, maximum temperature was recorded at 34°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 59 percent.

In Rawalpindi, maximum temperature was recorded at 33°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 56 percent.
