Peshawar and various regions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are expected to experience more rain and gusty winds on Monday night and Tuesday, with occasional breaks.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) forecasts isolated heavy rainfall in the upper districts during this period.

According to the PMD, monsoon currents from the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal are penetrating the upper and central parts of Pakistan, and are expected to strengthen tonight. Additionally, a westerly wave is affecting the upper regions.

Under these weather conditions, intermittent rains are anticipated on Monday night and Tuesday in areas including Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Malakand, Battagram, Buner, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Mardan, Swabi, Charsadda, Nowshera, Peshawar, Bajaur, Mohmand, Khyber, Kohat, Kurram, Hangu, Karak, Lakki Marwat, Bannu, Waziristan, and Dera Ismail Khan. Heavy downpours are likely in the upper districts during this time.

The heavy rains could increase the water flow in local streams and nullahs in Mansehra, Abbottabad, Kohistan, Chitral, Dir, Swat, Shangla, Bajaur, Mohmand, Khyber, Nowshera, and Swabi. There is also a risk of urban flooding in low-lying areas of Nowshera and Peshawar, and landslides could potentially disrupt traffic in the upper parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
