ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif says resolution of Karachi’s issues is the topmost priority of the government.

He was talking to a delegation of Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan headed by party chairman and Minister for Science and Technology, Federal Education and Professional Training Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui and comprised MNAs Dr Farooq Sattar, Mustafa Kamal and Syed Aminul Haq, also lauded the prime minister’s business-friendly policies and measures to boost country’s exports, according to a PM Office press release.

The Prime Minister said Karachi is an important city of Pakistan and the backbone of country’s economy.

He said MQM-Pakistan is a key ally of the government and the process of national development is continuing swiftly with the support of coalition partners.

On this occasion, the delegation presented proposals for the overall development of the economy and the prosperity of the economic centers of country, especially the people of Karachi.

It commended the Prime Minister for bringing the inflation rate down to single-digit.

The delegation also appreciated the Prime Minister for pursuing business-friendly policies and measures to boost the export industry.
