The Punjab Environmental Protection Authority released a statement on Wednesday detailing the new schedule and additional guidelines.

According to the notification, school hours will begin at 8:45 a.m., effective from October 28 until January 31, 2025. School administrations have been instructed to hold student assemblies indoors.

Residents have been advised to avoid outdoor exercise, keep doors and windows shut to block out polluted air, wear masks, and ensure their vehicles are in good condition, among other precautions.
