Pakistani citizens planning to travel abroad for tourism, work, or other purposes need a valid passport. The Directorate General of Immigration and Passports is responsible for issuing passports, provided applicants meet the necessary requirements and pay the set fee.

A valid Pakistani passport grants its holder protection through diplomatic and consular representatives when they are in a foreign country. It is the official document that confirms the holder’s identity abroad and allows them to exit and enter Pakistan.

Where to Apply for a New Passport?

Applicants can visit any nearby passport office to submit their applications. The department offers three service categories: normal, urgent, and fast track for passport issuance.
