Khawaja Asif heckled, threatened with ‘knife attack’ in London
Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif encountered unsettling heckling and threats of a “knife attack” from an unidentified individual at a station in London, as shown in a video that has circulated widely on social media.
Sources close to the PML-N leader confirmed, stating that the video showing the defence minister being threatened and mistreated is “authentic.”
This is not the first instance of a Pakistani political figure facing harassment in the UK’s capital. Recently, former Chief Justice of Pakistan Qazi Faez Isa’s car was targeted by PTI supporters at London’s Middle Temple.
Last month, a group of PTI protestors stopped and struck Isa’s vehicle as he arrived for a prestigious event hosted by The Honourable Society of the Middle Temple, held in recognition of his elevation to Callee after his tenure as Pakistan’s chief justice ended.
