PESHAWAR: Barrister Saif, Advisor on Information to the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has expressed confidence that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan will be cleared of all charges within the next month and a half.

In his statement, Saif also noted that Bushra Bibi, Imran Khan’s wife and former First Lady, has no plans to enter politics. However, he added that she would be warmly welcomed if she chose to do so.

Saif also criticized Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi for his remarks against PTI, suggesting that the governor might benefit from mental health support and should consult a specialized hospital.

On provincial initiatives, Saif mentioned plans for a government-backed life insurance company to cover employment, education, and health schemes. Additionally, he said a transmission company would be set up to provide affordable electricity.

In a similar statement, PTI MNA and senior lawyer Sardar Latif Khosa recently predicted that Imran Khan would be released from prison in November.

Speaking to a private TV channel, Khosa denied any notion of a deal, emphasizing that Imran Khan’s relief would come from the judiciary. Khosa also suggested that the upcoming US presidential election could impact Khan’s case, hinting that a victory for Donald Trump might shift the political dynamics in Khan’s favor.

Khosa further alleged that U.S. diplomat Donald Lu was involved in a conspiracy to remove Imran Khan from office as Prime Minister.
