‘341 terrorists dead in 12801 IBOs across Pakistan’

The Ministry of Interior has reported to the National Assembly that 12,801 intelligence-based operations (IBOs) were carried out across Pakistan during the first ten months of 2024.

The report states that 341 terrorists were killed in these operations, while the number of banned organizations in the country has risen to 82. Additionally, 800 individuals were arrested on terrorism charges by October 2024.

Breakdown of arrests by region includes 400 terrorists from Punjab, 203 from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 173 from Balochistan, 21 from Sindh, and 3 from Gilgit-Baltistan.

The Counter-Terrorism Departments (CTDs) registered 2,350 cases by March 2024. In terrorism financing cases, 2,466 individuals were arrested, with 526 receiving convictions. Authorities recovered Rs. 581 million from terrorists.

Separately, security forces conducted two operations in North Waziristan, killing seven Khwarij terrorists. According to the ISPR, an intelligence-based operation in Miran Shah neutralized four terrorists. Another encounter in Spinwam led to the elimination of three more terrorists.

During the clashes, Lance Naik Muhammad Amin (34), a brave soldier from Faisalabad, embraced martyrdom while fighting valiantly.
