In a major operation, Mianwali police successfully thwarted a significant Khwarij attack on the Chapri Police Station, eliminating four heavily armed militants.

According to a police spokesperson, over 20 Khwarij militants launched a heavy assault on the station using advanced weaponry, resulting in a fierce exchange of gunfire. Despite the attackers’ firepower, the police force bravely defended the station, ensuring the safety of all personnel. Two officers sustained minor injuries during the encounter.

The spokesperson confirmed that the Chapri Police Station is now secure and credited the swift, coordinated response of the officers for neutralizing the attackers.

Punjab Inspector General of Police praised the courage and professionalism of the Mianwali police team in successfully repelling the attack.

Earlier in the day, a tragic incident occurred at Haibat Khan Police Station in Lakki Marwat, where a police officer, Karamatullah, embraced martyrdom during a terrorist attack. Armed terrorists attacked the station with advanced weapons, but the officers fought valiantly, forcing the assailants to retreat. A search operation is now underway to apprehend the attackers.
