Pakistan has expressed full support for the Gulf Cooperation Council’s (GCC) call for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, aligning with efforts to safeguard civilians and facilitate the delivery of vital humanitarian aid.

Reiterating its unwavering support for the Palestinian cause, Pakistan stressed the importance of establishing an independent Palestinian state based on pre-1967 borders, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital, as the cornerstone for lasting peace in the region.

Pakistan commended the GCC’s condemnation of war crimes in Gaza, emphasizing the shared commitment to upholding international law and protecting Palestinian rights. It acknowledged the GCC’s proactive role in advancing peace efforts in Gaza and Lebanon, considering it crucial for regional stability.

By drawing attention to the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, the GCC set a strong moral example for the international community to act swiftly and prevent further escalation. Pakistan appreciated the GCC’s focus on safeguarding women and children in Gaza and highlighted the urgency of collective international efforts.

Additionally, Pakistan joined global calls for intensified efforts to achieve enduring peace in the Middle East, including advocating for Palestine’s full membership in the United Nations.
