Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman, has stated that bureaucracy, feudal lords, tribal chiefs, and landlords dominate Pakistan.

While addressing a Khatm-e-Bukhari Sharif ceremony in Mardan, Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman criticized the government, saying it does not impose taxes on feudal lords but instead squeezes the hard-earned income of poor farmers. He alleged that the oppressive rulers drain the sweat and blood of the people and distribute it among themselves.

He also stated that 27.7 million children are out of school, and the government seems unconcerned. Unemployment persists, and the prices of essential commodities are skyrocketing.

Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman further said that Islam is the name of justice, but a few have confined it. “We will establish a system where women are granted inheritance rights, justice within the family, and protection,” he added.

The Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami expressed hope, saying, “Insha’Allah, the time will come soon when a system of justice will be established. The oppressive system will end, and justice will prevail.”

Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman said that every era has its oppressive forces, and if there is any external oppressive power visible today, it is the United States.

He remarked that the U.S. engages in military invasions in countries like Iraq, Iran, and Afghanistan, demanding compliance with its policies. He added that when the Muslim Brotherhood achieved success in Egypt, the U.S. ensured their government did not last beyond a year.

He further stated that Israel is committing atrocities in Palestine under U.S. patronage, while the international establishment and local establishment operatives have been imposed upon us as tools of oppression.

Earlier, Amir Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman had said the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) were doing corruption on desire of the World Bank.

Hafiz Naeem said this during a press conference at Idara e Noor e Haq. He said the World Bank demanded that a person with a salary of Rs 50,000 should also be taxed. “Inflation and price hikes are so high and no one is there to keep a tab on it for regulation,” he said adding that there was no price checking system in the megalopolis.

He said despite the decrease in dollar’s value, there was no reduction in the price of oil, flour and sugar.

“Despite there being no governance, the prices of these goods are not decreasing. The caretaker government has increased the price of petrol by 58 rupees, but now it has reduced it by only 8 rupees. The common man’s economy has been completely ruined,” he said.

The JI Karachi chief said a large number of parents were taking their children out of school because they were not able to pay the fees. He said in the worst conditions, parents were taking their children out of private schools and enrolling them in government schools.
