Pakistan to experience rain and temperature drop this weekend

Weather update: Rain, hailstorms, thunderstorms predicted till May 5
A rainy weather system is expected to enter Pakistan between January 31 and February 1, bringing cooler temperatures and relief from the ongoing dry spell, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).
Dry weather has persisted in Punjab, causing temperatures to rise gradually. However, Lahore and several upper Punjab districts are likely to receive light rainfall in the coming days, which may temporarily lower temperatures.
The approaching rain is expected to bring back some winter chill, reducing the daytime warmth. However, experts warn that climate change has shortened winter this year, leading to warmer afternoons and colder nights.
Today, Lahore recorded a minimum temperature of 7°C, with a maximum expected to reach 24°C. The lack of rain has contributed to rising temperatures, and experts believe rainfall is essential to maintain seasonal balance.
Authorities have advised residents to be prepared for changing weather conditions, as rain showers could impact daily activities in some areas.
