PM congratulates Nation, Scientists on successful launch of EO-1 Satellite

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Friday congratulated the nation, scientists, and engineers on the successful launch of Pakistan’s first indigenous Electro-Optical (EO-1) satellite from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in China.

In a message shared on his X (formerly Twitter) account, the prime minister expressed his pride, stating, “Soaring higher and higher! Proud moment for the nation as Pakistan proudly launches its first indigenous Electro-Optical (EO-1) satellite from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center, China.”

Highlighting the significance of the EO-1 satellite, PM Shehbaz emphasized its transformative potential, from predicting crop yields to monitoring urban development, marking a significant milestone in the nation’s progress.

The prime minister praised the Pakistan Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO) for its dedication, stating that the successful launch showcased the country’s advancing capabilities in space science and technology.

“Congratulations to our scientists and engineers for their dedication and a great team effort!,” he added, acknowledging the collaborative efforts that led to this remarkable achievement.
