President, PM pay tribute to security forces for eliminating terrorists in D.I. Khan operation

ISLAMABAD: On Friday, President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif praised the security forces for their successful operation in Dera Ismail Khan, which resulted in the elimination of five terrorists.

In separate statements, both the President and Prime Minister commended the bravery of the security forces during the intelligence-based operation (IBO).

President Zardari expressed appreciation for the operations, emphasizing that the entire nation is united against terrorism. He reaffirmed the commitment to eradicating terrorism, stating, “The security forces are conducting operations to eliminate the menace of terrorism. The entire nation is united against terrorism. The operations against Fitna-al-Khawarij will continue until the complete elimination of terrorism.”

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also praised the forces, highlighting the professional skills of the personnel involved in the operation, which led to the killing of five terrorists, including a terrorist leader.

He reiterated that the fight against terrorism would continue until the menace is fully eliminated from the country.

“We will continue the war against the scourge of terrorism until its complete elimination from the country. The entire nation stands in support of its brave forces in the war against terrorism. The people of Pakistan also pay tribute to the security forces who participated in the war against the enemies of the country without caring for their lives,” the prime minister said.
