The international conference on education for Muslim girls in Pakistan continues for its second day. Addressing the conference, Nobel laureate Malala Yousafzai stated that the Taliban do not consider women as humans, emphasizing that Afghan Taliban have deprived female students of their right to education for over a decade.

Speaking at the international conference, Malala highlighted that the purpose of this conference would remain incomplete if the issue of Afghan girls’ education is not addressed.

“Afghan Taliban have denied female students their right to education for more than a decade,” she said.

Malala added that the Taliban have enacted over 100 laws to prevent women from accessing education. She further noted that 120 million girls worldwide are unable to attend school.

Expressing gratitude to the Muslim World League for organizing the event, she said, “I thank the Muslim World League for bringing such a large number of people together.”

Malala Yousafzai also highlighted the situation in Pakistan, stating that 12.5 million girls in the country are out of school. She stressed, “Every girl has the right to attend school for at least 12 years.”

Condemning the destruction of Gaza’s educational system by Israel, Malala said, “My journey began in Pakistan, and my heart will always remain with Pakistan.”

On the second day of the conference, sessions focusing on girls’ education, opportunities, and challenges in Muslim societies are underway, chaired by Swedish diplomat Ulrika Sandberg.

During the session, speakers emphasized that the use of technology is indispensable for promoting education. They highlighted that technology can ensure better educational opportunities for women in rural areas.

Speakers also noted that this is the era of information technology, and equal educational opportunities must be provided to women in this field. The speaker added that education is not an optional matter; it is essential for both men and women.
