Petrol prices drop in Pakistan

The federal government has announced a reduction in petrol and diesel prices for the next two weeks.

According to the notification:

*Petrol has been reduced by Re 1 per litre, bringing the price to Rs256.13 per litre.
*High-speed diesel is now Rs263.95 per litre after a Rs4 cut.
*Light diesel has dropped by Rs5.25 to Rs155.81 per litre.

*Kerosene oil has also been reduced by Rs3.20 to Rs171.65 per litre.

This is the first price drop of the year after three straight increases. The changes are part of regular fuel price adjustments based on international oil market trends and local conditions.

Internationally, oil prices dropped as hopes for a peace deal between Russia and Ukraine could ease sanctions and improve supply. Brent oil prices fell to $74.74 per barrel, while U.S. WTI dropped to $70.74 per barrel.
