Lahore: Federal Minister of Interior Mohsin Naqvi met with National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq on Sunday.

During the meeting, Mohsin Naqvi and Ayaz Sadiq discussed matters of mutual interest, political affairs, and the overall situation of the country.

They also discussed the attitude of PTI despite the government’s positive progress in negotiations.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi appreciated Speaker Ayaz Sadiq’s efforts in bringing together both opposition and government parties. He stated, “You have played a commendable role in uniting government and opposition parties.”

Both leaders expressed satisfaction over the country’s improving economic situation and discussed the government’s initiatives to address public concerns.

Earlier, Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq contacted Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf(PTI)  leader Assad Qaisar, inviting him to participate negotiation.

Speaker Ayaz Sadiq had made another attempt for continuation of negotiation between government and PTI, talking to PTI leader Asad Qaiser over the telephone and invited him to attend the meeting of the negotiating committee, but PTI gave any concrete assurance to attend the talks.
