Islamabad: Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, reaffirmed the business community’s vital role in the country’s economic progress. Speaking as the chief guest at a ceremony organized by the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI), he assured traders and industrialists of the CDA’s commitment to addressing their concerns.

Randhawa announced that ICCI and FPCCI representatives would be invited to CDA Board meetings whenever needed to discuss business-related issues. He also highlighted the authority’s ongoing initiatives, including improved water supply, infrastructure development, and an extensive tree plantation drive to enhance Islamabad’s green cover.

ICCI President Nasir Mansoor Qureshi commended the CDA’s leadership for prioritizing business concerns and requested the establishment of a dedicated graveyard in Sector H-13 to accommodate the city’s growing population. He also pledged ICCI’s support in planting 100,000 saplings to contribute to Islamabad’s environmental sustainability.

During the event, CDA emphasized its efforts to modernize tax payments through a cashless system and improve road infrastructure. ICCI Vice President Nasir Mehmood Chaudhry lauded Randhawa’s engagement with the business community, highlighting the importance of collaboration for a thriving business environment.

The event, attended by former ICCI presidents, executive members, and senior CDA officials, concluded with the inauguration of ICCI’s tree plantation drive, symbolizing a shared commitment to a greener Islamabad. Both organizations resolved to continue working closely to foster a sustainable and business-friendly environment in the capital.
