Explosion kills four, injures five in Khuzdar

One killed in explosion in Quetta
At least four people lost their lives, and five others sustained injuries in an explosion that struck the tehsil Naal area of Khuzdar, Balochistan.
Police officials stated that a vehicle parked near the explosion site caught fire immediately after the blast.
They further confirmed that the injured and the deceased have been shifted to Naal Hospital for medical assistance.
Earlier today, Pakistan’s security forces successfully foiled a terrorist attack on Bannu Cantt in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to the military’s public relations wing, security forces eliminated 16 Khawarij militants, including four suicide bombers, preventing a large-scale attack on Bannu Cantt.
The ISPR reported that the attackers attempted to cause massive destruction by ramming two explosive-laden vehicles into the cantonment’s perimeter wall. However, swift and effective action by security personnel neutralized the terrorists before they could breach the security zone.
During the operation, five security personnel embraced martyrdom while displaying immense bravery. The suicide blasts damaged the perimeter wall and caused extensive destruction to a nearby mosque and civilian residential areas. Tragically, 13 civilians lost their lives, and 32 others sustained injuries, ISPR stated.
In a separate incident, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Samiul Haq (JUI-S) chief Maulana Hamid-ul-Haq was among three individuals martyred in a powerful suicide blast at Darul Uloom Haqqania in Akora Khattak, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, as confirmed by the Chief Secretary and Inspector General of Police.
Maulana Hamid-ul-Haq had taken over JUI-S leadership after the assassination of his father, Maulana Samiul Haq, in 2018. Maulana Samiul Haq was fatally stabbed multiple times at his residence in Rawalpindi.
According to officials, the explosion occurred inside the seminary following Friday prayers, the city police officer confirmed.
