Karachi: Syed Salahuddin Ahmed, the Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer of Karachi Water and Sewerage Corporation (KWSC), has resigned from his post amid an ongoing corruption investigation.

Sources confirm that Ahmed was removed from his position following allegations of financial misconduct within the organization. The anti-corruption department launched an inquiry into the matter, but the investigation remains incomplete. Despite this, Ahmed recently completed a senior management course and has now formally stepped down from his role.

The Karachi Water and Sewerage Corporation has been scrutinized for several administrative and financial irregularities, and multiple officials face corruption allegations. Salahuddin Ahmed’s removal adds to the growing concerns regarding transparency and governance within the organization.

Authorities have yet to confirm whether the resignation will impact the ongoing probe or if further action will be taken against Ahmed. Meanwhile, discussions are underway regarding his replacement as the corporation seeks to restore credibility and operational efficiency.
