The Met Office has predicted a rise in temperatures in Karachi, with the mercury expected to reach 38°C as dry weather continues across Sindh.

According to the weather report, the heatwave could persist until Wednesday, March 12, after which temperatures are likely to drop.

Earlier, the Met Department stated that Karachi could experience temperatures between 36°C and 38°C next week. Throughout the day, hot and dry northwesterly winds will dominate, while the sea breeze is expected to return in the evening.

This follows an unexpected drop in temperatures earlier in the week when intensified cold and dry northeastern winds caused a significant dip, making March unusually cool.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department recorded a minimum temperature of 13.1°C in Karachi, notably lower than the March average of 19.4°C.
