Army Chief Gen Syed Asim Munir emphasized that national security is paramount, asserting that no movement or individual holds greater significance.

Speaking at a session of the Parliamentary Committee on National Security, he underscored the importance of harmonizing all elements of national power to achieve lasting stability.

He stressed the urgency of improving governance and called for Pakistan to adopt a “Hard State” approach, questioning how long the country can continue to endure sacrifices under a “Soft State” model.

The COAS urged religious scholars to counter extremist ideologies and expose misinterpretations of Islam.

Reaffirming that Pakistan’s security must take precedence over all else, he called for a unified national narrative, beyond political and personal interests.
