Pakistan Day: Ceremony for High Civil Awards held at Aiwan-e-Sadr

Islamabad: The ceremony to confer the High Civil Awards is held at Aiwan-e-Sadr on Pakistan Day.

According to the Public Relations Department of the Pakistan Army (ISPR), the ceremony was attended by Senate Chairman Yusuf Raza Gilani, Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, and First Lady Asifa Bhutto.

President of Pakistan, Asif Ali Zardari, conferred military honors on officers and personnel of the Pakistan Army, Navy, and Air Force.

With the approval of President Zardari, 2 Sitara-e-Basalat, 227 Tamgha-e-Basalat, and 82 Certificates of Excellence were awarded during the ceremony.

Additionally, 185 Chief of Army Staff Commendation Cards, 23 Hilal-e-Imtiaz (Military), 112 Sitara-e-Imtiaz (Military), and 133 Tamgha-e-Imtiaz (Military) are conferred.

In the civil awards ceremony, Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad Ali Shaukat (Martyr) from FF and Sepoy Suban Majeed Baloch (Martyr) from AK were honored with the Sitara-e-Basalat.
