The Research Ruet-e-Hilal Council has predicted that Eid-ul-Fitr in Pakistan will likely be on Monday, March 31, 2025.

The council explained that the Shawwal moon will be born today at 3:58 PM, and if the weather is clear, it can be seen on Sunday evening.

By sunset on Sunday, the moon will be over 26 hours old, making it easier to spot.

The time difference between sunset and moonset in different cities will be:

Karachi: 69 minutes

Jiwani: 71 minutes

Quetta & Lahore: 74 minutes

Gilgit-Baltistan: 78 minutes

If the sky remains clear, people should be able to see the new moon with the naked eye, confirming the end of Ramadan and the start of Eid celebrations.
