Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) signed several important agreements to strengthen their partnership in culture, trade, and consular affairs.

Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan signed two Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs). One aims to promote cultural cooperation between the two countries, while the other sets up a joint committee to work on consular matters.

Both leaders also attended the signing of another MoU between the Federation of UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry and Pakistan’s Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI).

This agreement will create a UAE-Pakistan Joint Business Council to boost trade and investment between the two nations. The MoU was exchanged by UAE’s Assistant Minister for Economic and Trade Affairs, Saeed Mubarak Al Hajeri, and FPCCI President Atif Ikram Sheikh.

During their meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ishaq Dar welcomed his UAE counterpart and praised the strong and respectful relationship between the two countries. He said both Pakistan and the UAE are committed to the progress and prosperity of their people.
