Pakistan and China have reaffirmed their commitment to rejuvenating their military-to-military cooperation and strengthening the strategic alliance between the two nations.

Pakistan’s Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu and Chinese Defence Minister Admiral Dong Jun conveyed their commitment during their meeting in China.

Both sides also agreed to enhance Air Force-to-Air Force cooperation, particularly by incorporating complex and aggressive tactical-level scenarios in aerial exercises. The cooperation aims to address challenges across multiple domains during joint exercises, equipping air and ground crews from both Air Forces with the skills needed to effectively counter modern Air and Space Warfare challenges.

In addition, the Air Chief met with various dignitaries during his visit to China.

Commander of People’s Liberation Army Air Force General Chang Dingqiu and the Air Chief agreed to establish a Joint Working Group to further enhance the existing collaboration between the two Air Forces.
