Approval has been granted to construct two new airports in Sukkur and Muzaffarabad.

Sources divulged on Tuesday that the Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) has also formed a committee consisting of officers to purchase land for the Sukkur and Muzaffarabad airports, sources said.

The Works and Development Department of the PAA had started work on both new airports, sources said.

Sources say that consultants and other experts will be hired for the project.

The construction of Sukkur International Airport and Muzaffarabad International Airport is expected to cost billions of rupees.

The Pakistan Airports Authority has already approved the plan.

According to sources, both airports are expected to be completed within the next five years.
