Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (SSGC) has announced a new gas supply plan for Quetta ahead of the upcoming summer season.

The government has introduced a new gas supply schedule to make sure people get a steady and strong flow of gas. This will help them plan their cooking and daily tasks more easily.

According to the new timings, gas will be available from 5 in the morning to 10 at night. There will be no gas supply between 10 pm and 5 am.

Meanwhile, Mari Petroleum Company Limited (MPCL) has found new oil and gas reserves at the Spinwam-1 Well in North Waziristan’s Karghar Formation. The well is currently producing 20.48 million cubic feet of gas and 117 barrels of oil each day. This is the second time the company has made a successful discovery at this site, and it is expected to support the country’s energy needs.

Earlier, in July 2024, Mari Petroleum also found new gas reserves in Sindh, with gas from the Ghazij Gas Field now being supplied to Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL).
