The Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) has postponed the 1st year exam that was scheduled for 28th May 2025.

This change is due to the Youm-e-Takbeer public holiday, which will be observed across Pakistan. Because of this, all Intermediate exams in Karachi planned for that day will now take place on Friday, 30th May 2025.

The Government of Pakistan has declared 28th May a nationwide holiday to mark Youm-e-Takbeer, which commemorates the country’s nuclear tests in 1998. It is an important national day, and education boards like BIEK have made changes to their schedules to observe it.

A spokesperson from BIEK confirmed that all exam arrangements have now been moved to 30th May. Students can expect the same exam venue and timing as before, giving them clear information and enough time to prepare.
