Rawalpindi: Pakistan’s military has strongly pushed back against recent allegations from India, calling for a responsible and evidence-based approach to cross-border tensions.

In a recent interview with Turkish media, DG ISPR Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif said India must stop making accusations without proof. He emphasized that if India has any credible evidence, it should be shared with a neutral and internationally trusted country or forum for independent verification.

Lt Gen Sharif said that blaming Pakistan after every unfortunate incident has become a political tool for India. “Whenever something happens, they point fingers at us without even looking at the facts,” he said. He added that this tactic may serve political interests, but it severely damages regional peace and trust.

Referring to a recent attack on tourists in Pahalgam, he noted that Pakistan responded with maturity and offered an impartial and independent investigation. However, India rejected that offer without explanation.

He also made serious claims about India’s actions against Pakistan, stating that Indian forces have carried out attacks on six different civilian locations, including a mosque, resulting in the deaths of innocent women and children. “These are violations of international law,” he said firmly.

The Pakistan Army spokesperson reiterated that Pakistan rejects all baseless accusations and stands for truth and justice. “If there’s evidence, bring it forward—not in the media, but before an unbiased authority,” he urged.
